"The enemy that led to the intervention in Afghanistan following the attacks of September 11, 2001 is still present”. Amrullah Saleh, Afghan politician and founder of Afghanistan Green Trend - a pro-democracy and anti-Taliban movement - is worried about a possible abandonment of the country by the US military. Saleh is convinced that Afghanistan is yet far from stability, he emphasizes that extremist groups are still strong in many areas of the country and hopes that “we won’t need another disaster to realize it."

Amrullah Saleh is an Afghan politician who worked with Ahmad Shah Massoud - military leader of the Afghan resistance - as well as for the government led by Hamid Karzai. Author of several publications on issues related to security, governance and foreign policy of Afghanistan, Saleh was head of the National Directorate of Security from 2004 until his resignation in 2010.
