«Humanity needs a common goal», says Michelangelo Pistoletto, artist, painter, sculptor and thinker, famous for works that transgress the sense of "inside and outside ", such as his mirror paintings. In 2007 Michelangelo Pistoletto receives the Wolf Foundation Prize in the Arts "for his constantly inventive career as an artist, educator and activator, whose restless intelligence has created prescient forms of art that contribute to a new understanding of the world." In 2010, he writes the book The Third Paradise. In 2013 the Louvre Museum in Paris hosts his exhibition "Michelangelo Pistoletto, année un - le paradis sur terre". In Tokyo he receives the Praemium Imperiale for painting. He is considered one of the leading exponents of Arte Povera.
